MarkIt is the universal-capture workspace that replaces the 8-12 places you scatter your saves - WhatsApp messages to yourself, Instagram saves, screenshot folders, browser bookmarks - with one searchable library, organized by AI. ## What MarkIt is MarkIt is a SaaS tool for individuals who save things online and lose track of them. It accepts captures from WhatsApp bot, Telegram bot, Chrome extension, iOS/Android share sheets, and the web app. AI auto-categorizes every capture, generates tags, writes a summary, and indexes it for semantic search. There are no folders to maintain and no manual organization required. The unique angle: MarkIt is built for what people actually save in 2026 - WhatsApp links forwarded by friends, screenshots of recipes, TikToks worth re-watching, PDFs, social posts - not just articles. Most "save-for-later" tools are still article-shaped because they were designed when the web was articles. MarkIt was designed when the web is messaging apps. ## How it works 1. **Share from anywhere.** Paste a URL, forward to the WhatsApp or Telegram bot, use the Chrome extension, share from any iOS/Android app, or upload a PDF/screenshot. 2. **AI does the filing.** Reads the content, picks the right category, generates tags, writes a one-line summary, OCRs text inside screenshots, and indexes it all for semantic search. 3. **Find it later.** Search by meaning, not just keywords. "That pasta recipe from last week" returns the right item even if the title says nothing about pasta. ## Features worth knowing - **Google Calendar reminders**: set a reminder on any saved item; MarkIt creates a real Google Calendar event (not just an in-app notification) so you never forget to follow up. - **Spaces**: shared collaborative libraries for couples, families, or teams. Invite up to 2 members on Free, 5 on Pro. Each member can add items into the shared Space without giving up their personal library. - **Behavioral learning**: when you manually move an item to a different category, MarkIt records the move and uses your past corrections to route future items more accurately. The product gets more personal the more you use it. - **English Shadow**: items saved in Hebrew are auto-translated to English in the background so semantic search works across languages. - **YouTube transcripts**: paste a YouTube link and MarkIt extracts the full transcript so the video is searchable by what was said. - **Bulk AI recategorize** (Pro): re-run the categorizer across your whole library at once - useful after you rename categories or pivot how you organize. ## Languages supported - English (full AI categorization, search, bot replies, UI) - Hebrew (full AI categorization, search, bot replies). UI strings are mostly English; bot conversation auto-detects and replies in the user's language. - More languages on the roadmap. ## Connect to AI assistants (MCP) MarkIt runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://mark-it.co/api/mcp, so you can connect your MarkIt library directly to Claude (Claude.ai and Claude Desktop) and ChatGPT. Connect through the built-in OAuth flow in those apps, or with a personal API key generated in MarkIt settings. Once connected, your assistant can search and open your saved items, save new ones, list your categories, and set or cancel reminders - it cannot delete items or change your account settings. Available on the Free tier. ## Pricing - **Free tier**: 40 captures per month, 12 categories with 3 sub-categories each, 5 bot messages per day, 20 monthly credits, semantic search and OCR included. - **Pro tier**: 200 captures per month, 12 categories with 10 sub-categories each, 25 bot messages per day, 60 monthly credits, priority enrichment, auto-summary on every capture, 10 AI image generations per month, bulk AI recategorize, 5 Spaces owned with 5 members each at 1000 items per Space. - **Pro is in early access.** It is granted free to anyone who redeems an early-access invite code. Nothing on MarkIt is for sale.
